A unicorn’s Tale Magical Fiber Arts

An ardent fiber artist since the age of 15, Nancy Tarr Hart (a Unicorn’s Tale Magical

Fiber Arts) has delighted in the process of creating art through the fiber mediums of

needlepoint, counted cross stitch, embroidery, knitting, crochet, weaving, and spinning.

She chose the pseudonym A Unicorn’s Tae Magical Fiber Arts to represent the unique

properties inherent in each of her one-of-a-kind wearable creations, which come to life

as she uses a combination of luxury fibers, both hand-spun and commercially available

threads/yarns, beads, and recycled silks as her palette. She is retired from a business

career that spanned over 40 years and was combined with theatre experience as a

performer, director, costumer, educator, and administrator. Currently a Visiting Assistant

Professor of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame of Maryland, she also enjoys

traveling, writing, gardening and reading.
